Janitorial suggestions May 23

As every month, find the suggestions and advice of our concierges to enhance your stay at La Maison Favart.‍

Restaurant of the month: Au Petit Riche

The elegant intimacy of the place, the authentic "Belle Epoque" decor, and a pleasantly bourgeois cuisine, have made this restaurant a true Parisian meeting place for over 150 years. The energy of a brasserie combined with the conviviality of a bistro, a mixture of history, flavors, local produce and good humor. The most beautiful repertoire of Loire Valley wines in Paris.

Free Wi-Fi.

Opera of the month: La Bohème

Is it because the writer Henry Murger had himself known this existence during his youth? This would explain the accuracy with which he describes, in his Scènes de la vie de bohème (Scenes of Bohemian Life), these artists who were broke, starving, ready to burn a manuscript for a little fire, but who dreamed of another life in the age of the triumphant materialist bourgeoisie. Giacomo Puccini, in taking up these scenes, delivers to us, through the relationship of the poet Rodolfo and the fragile Mimi, a moving story and some of his most beautiful operatic pages.

Play of the month: Mom

After a triumphant tour, the show Maman returns to the Théâtre Édouard VII. Vanessa Paradis accompanied for the first time in Paris by Samuel Benchetrit offers us a unique, sensitive and moving show. A city, at night. A woman waits for her cab, wrapped in a fur coat. A young man passes her the first time. He passes her. He comes back to her, slowly. And asks her a question that will change their lives...

Concert of the month: Metallica

Four years after their memorable concert at the Stade de France, the Californians of Metallica return to the same stadium to set it on fire once again and thrill you with their unique brand of trash metal. See you on Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th May 2023 for two exceptional concerts.

Exhibition of the month: Matisse

A formative trip, a decisive turning point, and dozens of works created under the sun of French Polynesia. In 1930, Matisse left for an initiatory trip to Tahiti. An artistic epic told by the Musée de l'Orangerie, in a new exhibition to discover.

Orangery Museum Jardin des Tuilerie, 75001 Paris

Unusual activities of the month: Claude Monet's house and gardens - Giverny

Claude Monet lived from 1883 to 1926, forty-three years, in his house in Giverny. Passionate about gardening as much as about colors, he conceived his flower garden and his water garden as true works of art.
