Restaurant of the month: La Crème de Paris
On the Grands Boulevards, it's often difficult to discern the quality of a restaurant in advance. There's something for everyone, from the worst to the best. La Crème de Paris is one of the best. The opera of the month: Don Pasquale
An old baron, Don Pasquale, thinks he's playing a good trick on his nephew Ernesto by telling him he's going to marry a young girl - which will deprive him of any inheritance. But the charming Norina and Dr. Malatesta catch him in his own trap. Gaetano Donizetti's opera, inspired by the characters of the commedia dell'arte, features a series of disguises, a sham marriage and a fool's game. A whirlwind score, successfully premiered in Paris in 1843, in which the author of Lucia di Lammermoor shows a real talent for comedy and renews the opera buffa form.

Concert of the month: Jean-Baptiste Guégan
Jean-Baptiste Guégan, Johnny Hallyday's vocal double, is back on the road in 2023. In Paris, the musical phenomenon will be performing at the legendary Olympia for two not-to-be-missed concerts on Friday September 15 and Saturday September 16.

Exhibition of the month: Gérard Garouste
The Centre Pompidou in Paris is devoting a major retrospective to Gérard Garouste, one of France's most important contemporary painters and a proponent of uncompromising figuration. The exhibition features 120 major paintings, often in very large format, as well as the artist's installations, sculptures and graphic works.
